Every year Valentine’s Day sort of creeps up on me. Does it feel that way for you, too? This year I’m pleased to be getting a bit of a head start with today’s round up of a “comprehensive” bunch of Valentine’s Day projects and guides.
This gives us all time to think about vintage Valentine projects we might like to make AND to haul out Valentine cards, jewelry, and other items we might like to sell.

Vintage Valentine’s Day Projects
I’ve included projects that are both specifically Valentine related along with several that are Valentine’s-adjacent. In other words, they fit right in if you want them too!
1. No-Sew Valentine Decoration

2. Valentine Tussy Mussy
These romantic tussy mussies can be filled with your sweethearts favorite candy, maybe chocolate kisses? I’ve also adjusted the rosette decoration to sell at a Christmas Market for $12 each.

3. Glittery Valentine Deocrations
If you like glitter then you’ll love crafting these glittery heart decorations. They are well and truly one of the more vintage-looking crafts on this list.

4. Be Mine Valentine’s Banner
You’ll use easy-to-find recyclables to make this charming Valentine’s Day banner. Decorate your antique booth with it priced at $15-20.
5. Vintage Valentine Card Banner
Or hang this cute-as-can-be banner made from vintage Valentine’s Day cards.

6. Elegant White Valentine’s Wreath
Nothing could be simpler than this elegant wreath made from white silk pom poms. Add the little burlap banner for some extra flare and sell it for $25-30.

7. Valentine’s Sweater Wreath

8. Tart Tin Love-Bird Cage

9. Fresh Flower Crate
Nothing says “I love you” like a bouquet of fresh flowers. Why not create something special to hold those flowers that can then be used as a unique centerpiece? Get inspiration for this “Fresh Flowers” crate here, along with a helpful video on how to stencil.

10. Button Heart on Velvet
Pairing antique Mother-of-Pearl buttons with an aged frame creates romantic wall art, perfect for Valentine’s Day. I hung it on an antique blackboard and surrounded it with a leafy wreath in chalk.

11. Mixed Media Valentine Art
Get down with your artistic side when you make one of these mixed media Valentine hearts for someone you love. You’ll have so much fun ripping music paper and selecting patterned paper for your heart.

This darling little piece of art serves first as a gift tag and second as bookmark or a hangtag for a cupboard door.
13. Vintage Hankie Sachet
This pretty project was featured in Country Samplers Farmhouse Style magazine (Summer 2023). I found it a great way to turn some inherited hankies into lovely, useful keepsakes: Lavender Scented Sachets.
14. Valentine’s Chalkboard
The chalkboard craze may have died down a bit but for those of us still decorating with them, this sentiment from the Bible is one to live by–particularly this year (2026).

In case you were wondering whether Valentine’s Day and related products sell, the answer is yes! Below you’ll find a few examples of some of these items that I’ve sold in the past, along with some currently available in my Etsy shop (1/26).
1. Cards

A 1940’s American card with unique “easel” that allows it to stand up sold on eBay for $9. Cards with interesting features like this one also tend to sell quite well.
The little Valentine’s day poem written at the bottom: Here I sit/So sad and piney/Feeling very Valentiney/If YOU were only by my side/I’d let my conscience be my guide.

A beautiful late-19th century, German pop-up card sold on eBay for $14. German pop-ups sell very well.

2. Jewelry
Jewelry is probably the #1 Valentine’s Day gift, both for men and women. Below is a selection of some of the romantic pieces I’ve sold recently and a few others for sale in my Etsy shop (1/26).

A sterling silver cherub in a heart pendant necklace sold on Etsy for $26.

A sterling silver Claddaugh ring sold on Etsy for $22.

A pair of sterling silver, maracite, and onyx Claddaugh pierced earrings sold on Etsy for $22. Claddaugh (heart in hands) jewelry is a good seller.

A beautiful heart-shaped brooch by Florenza sold on Etsy for $28 (2024).

A vintage bejeweled and heart-shaped perfume bottle, meant to hang on a chatalaine, sold for $45 on Etsy.

A Krementz tie bar shaped like a knot, with a red “gem,” and signed “Krementz” sold on Etsy for $19.57 (2025).

A striking garnet-encrusted cocktail ring (purchased in the UK), valued at $200-250. Available

3. Presentation Boxes
Heart-shaped ring presentation boxes sell like hot cakes, presumably for wedding proposals and/or to display engagement or wedding rings for sale.

A new-in-box bottle of Oleander perfume sold on Etsy for $79 (2024).

A vintage but new-in-box item: Madame Rochas lotion sold on eBay for $40 (2024).

Even partially full bottles of popular vintage perfumes sell well. This bottle of Matsumi by Coty sold on eBay for $27.

An 80% full bottle of Burberry perfume sold on Etsy in 2025 for $55.22.

A partial bottle of vintage “Eau de Cologne Fraiche” by Christan Dior, valued at $35-45 is Available
5. Miscellaneous

A scroll saw cut wooden decoration sold on Etsy for $22 (2024).

The essence of Valentine’s Day lies in the celebration of love. What better way to express that than through a handmade gift?
And antique sellers can take advantage of the impulse to give by providing quality Valentine’s Day cards and romantic gifts like jewelry to their customers.
