What I See Trending on Etsy: 10 Items to Sell in 2026
I’ve been selling on Etsy off and on for over 10 years, putting in a few hours/week. The past five years or so, I’ve been more diligent and have maintained at least 25 items in my shop at all times.
Things changed last year though when I ran an experiment. I kept my shop filled with 100 items and maintained that level, week after week. The results were amazing: just over $5000 in 2025 in sales with about 5-6 hours of work/week!
As a result, I’ve gathered a good amount of “insider info” that will be shared today, i.e., ten categories of items that sell well over and over again on Etsy: ironstone, textiles, flower frogs, ephemera, jewelry, perfume, Christmas decorations, religious items, sewing notions, and advertising crocks.
NOTE: As you read through this article, keep in mind that appropriate shipping was charged, though not reflected in the sold prices for each item that reflects their value.
Table of Contents
1. Small Ironstone
2. Textiles
3. Flower Frogs
4. Ephemera
5. Jewelry
6. Perfume
7. Christmas Decorations
8. Religious Items
9. Sewing Notions
10. Advertising Crocks
Something else to keep in mind that some of these items can sell fairly well from an antique booth too, among those that I sell from my upstate NY rural shop:
- Small ironstone
- Textiles: vintage aprons & hand towels
- Flower frogs
- Ephemera: cheaply priced prints, postcards, cooking pamphlets
- Jewelry: costume and fine

- Religious: NOPE
- Sewing: scissors and cheaply priced buttons
- Crockery w/typography

(2) Textiles
I experienced a lot of sadness when I finally admitted to myself several years ago that textiles no longer sold well from my antique booth. But what a tremendous joy it was to learn that they sell very well on Etsy!
As with most items, I only offer extremely good condition linens–nothing stained or raggedy. I was especially surprised to learn that souvenir linen towels have quite a following and sell well, usually for $12 each.

(4) Ephemera
Not too long ago I wrote an article about handwritten recipe journals and began selling them on Etsy with great success.

(6) Perfume
I know vintage perfume is surprising category for many to consider. You might think, “Who wants old perfume that’s probably gone bad??”
In fact, loads of people look for the perfume “they remember” from their childhood; it may be a scent their mother or grandmother wore. Since companies reconstitute perfumes all the time, often substituting chemicals for botanical oils, there’s quite a market for old perfume.
Keep in mind that at the moment, in 2026, an item need only have been made prior to 2007 in order to be considered old vintage.
PRO TIP: Rarer perfumes tend to sell better for me on eBay. I know, I know, this is an Etsy article. I just want you to be aware that with Etsy’s smaller following, you might have better luck selling obscure or highly valuable examples on eBay.

(8) Religious Items
I’ve only recently (within the last year) begun to experiment selling religious items. Since they don’t sell particularly well from my antique booth, I had assumed they wouldn’t on Etsy either.
I was wrong!
Though I’ve sold rosary for several years, I’d never attempted much else. What a wonderful surprise to find that all sorts of religious (particularly Catholic) antiques sell nicely.

What Else to Look For
Religious medals, jewelry, and books, for example, miniature or leather bound bibles.
(9) Sewing Notions
Many sellers, to their detriment, overlook vintage and antique sewing notions, believing there’s no money to be made selling them. I’m here to prove them wrong. Not only are there a large number of collectors, but many sewers enjoy actually using them.
