Vintage-Inspired Easter Projects + FREE Printables

Hi there! With Easter around the corner, I thought I’d recommend a few vintage-inspired Easter craft projects that you can easily accomplish at home.

I’m providing some beautiful vintage images in an Easter Print Pack in the Member Library that can be used in a variety of ways, whether you craft alone or as a family.

Many of us are looking for ways to engage with family members during the Covid crisis, perhaps some of my ideas will work for you ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you are in good health, staying in touch with family and friends, and finding ways to stay productive and happy. My sweet daughter and I sewed some masks the other day and it felt SO good to be working on a “life-affirming” project with her.

Altogether you’ll find nine vintage images in one PDF document in my Member Library. You can download them to your computer and print them out whenever you want. Print out just one page or all of them at once–it’s your choice. Get access to the library when you SUBSCRIBE HERE.

How to Print Out Your Artwork

I like to print my images on matte finish paper presentation. Your images will come out much crisper and clearer than on regular printer paper.

In order to print out a single print from the 6-page PDF that comes with today’s post, go to the page the print is on, click file, then click “Current page.” Just that single page will print, rather than the entire six pages.

Easter Wall Art Made with a FREE Printable

White rabbit wall artI decided to turn the white bunny print into wall art using the same technique that is often used for botanical prints. I explained the process and provide links to materials in this wall art post that I wrote last July.

If you don’t have a great color printer or would rather buy your art, here are a couple of choices:bunnybotanical, or scripture.

Printable Easter Clipboard Art Decoration

Mixed media clip board with printable: girl and rabbitI posted about this decorated clipboard project last June, and the one I made for myself has been hanging in my office ever since. Every now and again I change out the “artwork” that I clip to it. I think the pale pink colors are perfect for Easter. They compliment this image of a little girl with her bunny perfectly.

Last week in my FaiTHought post, I had a stylish Bible verse attached to it.

amazing grace on decorated clipboardI LOVE the print with the little girl and her bunny, but this verse from Amazing Grace works well with the clipboard too. It makes a lovely Easter decoration, doesn’t it?

Easter Bookmark Made with a FREE Printable

easter rabbit bookmarkI based this third project on one I just posted a few weeks ago. You may remember it; I used vintage sewing patterns to make bookmarks

In today’s version, I used one of the rabbit postcard printables. I decoupaged it on top of some vintage music paper and aged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink

It can easily be used as a gift tag, inserted into an Easter basket, or gifted with a Bible or an Easter children’s book.

And then I went a little crazy and made some with more FREE printables (already in my Member Library) from a vintage seed packet project I developed last year. I’ve made scads of bookmarks recently that I’ll be selling at the local Shaker shop (when this is all over) and so it made sense to make some that say “Shaker.”

I hope you find some of these ideas appealing. I’d love to hear additional ideas you may have for these printables in the comments below. Enjoy and stay safe!

  1. Great post: I always love vintage pictures. Last year I made one, this year another; don’t remember the blogger. Copied a vintage Easter card with chicks and blue violets, glued it inside a Peeps box with the printing on it, added green excelsior and some small silk flowers. It is adorable! Amazing Grace is one of my favorites; have a framed picture with music and a country church in my living room.
