2018 Reader Favorite Vintage & Antique Posts
Hi there! I hope you’re settling into the new year nicely. I redecorated my antique booth this past Friday; what with the holidays and all, I had practically abandoned it. Yikes! My sweet husband and I also hit up a couple of thrift stores and made several purchases. I’m planning a blog post about thrifting soon and will include my purchases. Would you like that? Today, however, I’m sharing reader favorite vintage and antique posts from last year.
Interested in other year-end round-up posts? You can find them here: 2017 (posts), 2017 (finds), 2016 (what sold), 2016 (finds),  2015 (posts), and 2015 (finds). And last week I posted about 2018: A Year in Review, which contained some more personal achievements related to the blog.

Reader Favorites: Vintage 101 Posts
Vintage 101 posts are those that provide valuable vintage information, as opposed to those that involve vintage-inspired craft and DIY projects (those favorites are below).
Your absolute favorite blog post [ever] is the one on which I based my new eBook. It’s called: 10 Vintage Items Often Overlooked & Undervalued at Garage Sales. Thousands upon thousands of people have visited that post.
Other posts in the top fifteen include most of my Price Guides and many of my What’s Selling in Vintage & Antiques posts. Some of the other posts you liked I’ve linked below:

Bye for now,

Great post! That lucite cat pin return!
Ha ha–such a cool piece. There’s so much still to learn in this vintage biz, right? Glad you enjoyed the post, Rita!
Great year of wonderful, inspiring vintage, Diana! Here’s to a whole new year of vintage finds!
Thank you Lora!! Same to you–happy hunting and happy blogging over at Lora B Create & Ponder 😉
I can’t believe that lucite pin either! wow! someone must have known something! or put in the wrong numbers! hahaha! I have a connection to almost everything you’ve shown here. I have a wonderful framed all-in-red 14 x 18 cross stitch in a red frame that I found at an estate sale for $2. I pick up butter pats when I find them, and have one from New Mexico that I was told belonged to the Harvey House restaurants. I have a box of silverware that I want to stamp. I bought a small woven basket with lid that matched my larger ones for $4. didn’t realize that it was filled with the silverware, and that’s probably what they were selling. I just wanted the basket, but I kept it all. I have a kit for the garden markers. Received in trade at a plant swap. Your ebay prices are terrific! What wonderful profit! (p.s. info on bird cage is missing.) 🙂 And since you asked…. I DEFINITELY want to see your recent purchases from the thrifting trip. I have to live vicariously through you.
I know that pin was crazy. I had no idea what I really had until I did some research on eBay. Those type of Lucite pins are VERY collectible. I love connections!! It’s what I live for–thank you for telling me all of them, Patty. (Thanks for the heads up on the lack of bird cage info, too.) I’ll be writing about my thrifting trip(s) ASAP 🙂
And what a great year it’s been for you, Diana! I’m happy for you. You do everything with gusto and it shows. Your blog has grown and I can see you growing by leaps and bounds as well. I was so happy to hear of your successful surgery — you were on my prayer list! Thanks for sharing with Vintage Charm and keep up the great work! xo Kathleen
I love that word, “gusto!” Thank you for the lovely compliment, Kathleen, and for praying for me–that means the world. I so appreciate your encouragement and feel blessed to have you as a dear blogging friend 🙂
