This Week’s Vintage Finds #9 (Second Installment)
I fell in love with this painting when I saw it at the second estate sale I shopped at last week-end. If I had a spot for it in my home, I think I’d keep it, but since I don’t, I’m going to list it on Etsy. I wouldn’t ordinarily think that red and pink would work together, but on this canvas, they do. I think it has a wonderful shabby chic sort of feeling about it, don’t you? UPDATE: I’ve listed it here on Etsy.
I also bought a pile of sheet music either for resale or for craft projects. I’ve got to do some research; most are from old Broadway shows, and one, as you can see, is from Disney’s Cinderella. More cake tins for future cake stands, some vintage Christmas music for altered art projects, old Cook’s magazines for me(!), and on the left is a packet of photographs of really interesting doors–haven’t decided what to do with those yet!
This is the homemade tool box that’s hidden in the back. Love the painted surface with it’s nicks and splatters of paint. With a bit of cleaning and rub down with some wax, it’ll look great.
I definitely have a thing for old wooden boxes, and this old painter’s box hit the bill! Both the outside and inside need some cleaning and then I’ll wax the outside–can’t wait to see how great it’ll look.
