How to Make a Coffee Can Santa

Here’s a quick Christmas craft project for you–a Santa Claus container made from a plastic, Folgers coffee can.

I had four or five of this bright red containers and it hit me one day–wrap a black belt around the middle and you have a Santa (or at least his body, LOL).

Cute, right?

I made a “belt” using a 1 1/2″ strip of black paper and made a buckle out of foil tape that I had on hand. You could make the buckle out of foil wrap or silver/gold wrapping paper.

I used tacky glue to attach the belt, then removed the backing from the foil tape and pressed it in place.

In the buckle opening you could use a white pen to write “cookies” or “candy,” if you wanted to.

Fill it with candies, as I’ve done, or how about animal crackers, or chex mix? How’s that for a super quick and easy Christmas craft?
