This Week’s Vintage Finds #11 (Third Installment)

I’m backtracking today, to a couple of weeks ago when I hit so many awesome estate sales that I decided to write three installments. I got a little sidetracked by the holidays, but I’m back with the final installment. Above you can see the fish bowl (for a springtime cement orb project), filled with sea shells (love!), the galvanized steel flower container (I embellished it here: Numbered Burlap Labels), small mossy urn with large gray bird, and the wire garden globe-y ornament. Can’t wait for spring!

I think this crate made of rulers is the coolest thing–never seen one of these before, have you? The muted colors of the fabric cabbage roses are gorgeous, and that starfish was too perfect not to include in my purchases.

This wooden slatted heart was just callin’ out my name–not sure why, but I’m gonna have to do something with it, right?!

I love this sweet little poetry book: 100 Poems for Boys and Girls. I have a nice copy of it already; I bought this one to use to make tags and altered art projects. Dontcha just love the silhouette art? I’m also a pretty big fan of all kinds of natural objects, as you may have noticed, so of course I had to buy the shells, starfish and green crystal (bottom). And the final piece–this wonderful still life, bursting with sunny yellow mums and shiny red apples. It hard not to smile when you look at it. I’ll be listing it on my store soon.

Did I mention how much I paid for all of the above? Including the painting, (which I paid a bit extra for), I spent $27!! Pretty good, dontcha think? What great deals have you found lately? I’d love to hear about them.
