What’s Selling in Vintage & Antiques [November 2017 Income Report]
Hi there! How was your weekend? As I mentioned in my Wednesday newsletter, Friday was busy, busy, busy. I restocked both my craft and my antique booths. But I did take a break in-between for lunch with my sweet friend Nancy.
Then on Saturday, my sweet husband and I drove up to Manchester, VT to take an historic inn tour that was fab-u-lous. So much fun! Even though I don’t write about our adventures as much any more, I will be posting about this one, soon, I promise.
Today it’s time for November’s income report. I’ll be letting you know what’s selling in vintage and antiques via my antique shop and eBay. [Note: My craft booth report will likely come in January, that’s when I receive my check.]

So that’s it for my November sales. It looks like a slow month, but my sales at the Shaker Craft Fair have been very brisk (approximately $600 for November), but I don’t get a full accounting or an actual check until the beginning of January. I’ll do a separate income report on the craft fair in January some time.
During November I focus so much time and energy constantly restocking my craft booth that my eBay sales suffered somewhat, and November was a terrible month at the Gristmill. I’m happy I more than made my rent.

I don’t sell anything, but I love these posts – it’s fascinating to see what things sell for (a number of them I would happily pay your asking price, lol)
I so glad you enjoy them, Patty–and thanks for letting me know! (Glad to hear my prices are at or around market value, too.)
Ir’s safe to love your sold treasures; I can’t get them, can I?Never seen a little Pyrex like that red and white; close enough to milk glass for me! I collect the T Belden’s in paperback; loved her as a kid! I would have a little flower arrangement in that crock and the Tetley Tea tin soo fast your head would spin! Glad your Quaker stall is doing so well!
Ha ha, Kathy–love away!! Great ideas for those containers, BTW 🙂
Very interesting the things that sell and for what prices. A number of items that you buy to sell would never occur to me to be sellers. I wish I could take you thrifting with me!
Maybe someday we can organize an “event” and all get together to go vintage shopping. Wouldn’t that be fun?!!
Love your sales stories, especially the enamel decanter tags and the Cismont Manor Farm sign. It is the name of a renowned family farm in Keswick, VA established many years ago by the late Kenny and Sallie Busch Wheeler, who trained and showed horses and mentored riders in equestrian sports to many championships and awards. The sign might have been from the temporary stalls they occupied at a horse show, where prominent owners/trainers identify where their horses (and clients’ horses) are stabled. (Their son, Kenny Jr. continues the farm’s operation in VA.)
Thanks SO much for sharing about Cismont Manor Farm, Leslie–it all make so much sense to me now. I live right near Saratoga (and the race track) so the sign somehow made it from horse stall there to a garage or estate sale that I attended. Very interesting…
I love to read your reports as to what is selling each month. Wish I could get some of the prices you do! My November sales were save due to a dresser I sold.
Glad you enjoy my reports, Melissa, and am glad to hear November was a good month for you 🙂
Well I think you did great! Sounds like you’re super busy! Hope you get to relax and enjoy the holiday:( xo Kathleen|Our Hopeful Home
Yes, and you, too, Kathleen!!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful vintage treasures at Vintage Charm!
Nice post! It’s always interesting to see what is selling in different parts of the Country. I find some similarities with what I’m selling here in Gloucester, MA. For example I have pretty good luck with hardware, such as the hooks you posted.
The pocket knives and shaving pieces do well too. And of course being in the Country’s oldest Fishing port, the painting would do well here.
Have a nice New Year and keep picking!
Just now catching up on your emails. Lol! Happy New Year! I love your sold items from your Nov sales but my favorite were the Trixie Beldin books! I loved those growing up! Brought back sweet memories. Here’s to a wonderful prosperous 2018! Jeri
