This Week’s Vintage Finds #4
Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great week. This past Friday, I hit several sales after getting my sweet daughter on the bus at 7:30 am, and before I needed to drive my sweet son to community college at 9:30 am. I have to say, in just an hour and a half of garage saling, I landed some pretty cool vintage finds.
Like this needlepoint stool I picked up for just $3!! It definitely needs some cleaning and polishing, but that’ll take no time at all. [UPDATE: Sold for $25.00.]
Who doesn’t love a Shiny Brite Christmas ornament? Especially these small versions meant to decorate German feather trees . Each box cost just 50¢ [UPDATE: Each box sold on Etsy for $4.99.]
Wooden gavels like this one make a great conversations pieces, and I have no trouble selling them. This one cost 50¢. [UPDATE: Sold on Etsy for $9.99.]
A spool containing 3 yards of nice, grosgrain ribbon in very trendy colors–50¢.
A sweet, 2″ high mortar and pestle; I don’t own one so I may need to keep this little 25¢ guy.
This nice old glass door knob set me back $2. I’ll have to collect a few more before I can adhere them to some nice board and make a hanging rack someday.
A vintage owl bank, embossed “Wise Old Owl” on the bottom, cost $1.

I bought this shelf for $2 primarily because of the hanging bar on the bottom. It easily screws off and will allow me to put several spools of ribbon on it. I think I’ll paint it first though since I’m not in love with varnished pine.

And finally, I bought this crazy looking pan for 50¢ because I liked the scalloped edges and because I think I’ll be able to do something cool with it someday 🙂
That’s all for now; I hope you enjoyed hearing about my fun finds–both vintage and crafty. Happy hunting everyone!
Bye for now,
