A Little White Rack
Hi everybody! Today I wanted to share a simple project–a little white rack that I hope to incorporate on a gallery wall.
I love the part of the creative process where you examine something others would consider “junk,” and re-envision it as an attractive and functional item.
Take this worn out wagon section that finally succumbed to our northeastern weather. After several years gracing my front yard, often holding seasonal flowers, it simply began to fall apart.
I suspected that as some point the pieces would be useful for a craft project, so I [wisely] hung on to them. Those lovely curves gave me the idea that it would make a nice rack of some sort.
I decided to give it a coat of white paint, using a dry brush, which allowed some of the gray to peak through.
I found three vintage, porcelain knobs in my stash and decided they were perfect for the project.
Initially I thought I’d place one knob on each of the three curves, but in the end, I decided they looked better on the straight piece. I’m very pleased with the vintage country look that I achieved.
I’m still working on my gallery wall, so that will have to be the subject of another post.
Hope you all have a great day!
Bye for now,

What do I think about this post ?… I think what you came up with is a true winner. The knobs are perfect for this … love, love that little shoe.
Have a great week Diana.

Diana, I think that rack looks great, clever girl, you.
Great upcycle!
Adorable. That little shoe is the sweetest thing!
This is so sweet! I love the items you've hung on it.

A perfect recycle and upcycle in one. sb
At first I thought you had stenciled A LITTLE WHITE RACK onto it! LOL It is cute!
Very nice! I keep old stuff too and it always pays off!
Thats really cute and I actually like the stenciled version better. 🙂
Great thrift store finds and this rack really takes the blue ribbon award today. Love the words A Little White Rack. If that is only your computer generated text then I think you should go ahead and stencil it on there! SO neat! 🙂
Thank you for coming by today for "Let's Talk Vintage!" You always have great things for discussion.
Love it and that little shoe is just too cute!
Thanks for sharing!
