3 Vintage-Inspired Valentine’s Projects You Will Love
Hi there! We’ve been going through a pretty rough time in my household lately. Thank you to all who sent me lovely encouraging notes and promises of prayer. I cannot tell you how much they mean to me.
I hope you’ll continue to keep us in your prayers, and that you aren’t too disappointed by the lack of a new post today. Instead, I’m sharing three of my favorite Valentine’s Day posts from the past couple of years. I hope you’ll enjoy them.

Vintage Sweater Wreath
Special holidays and seasons are all about the wreath, right? A spectacular front door wreath both sets the tone for your whole decorating scheme and serves as a special welcome for visitors.
Using a vintage wool sweater like this one, you can easily create a stunning Valentine wreath for display anywhere inside or outside your home.
Vintage Valentine Banner
Look no further if you’re in need of a Valentine’s banner. Using cardboard packaging and letter cards from a vintage game, you can make a darling banner to hang from your mantel, kitchen island, or how about over a wide doorway?
Vintage-Inspired Glittery Valentines

The third and final project is one of my favorites; it involves lots and lots of glitter and vintage music paper, two of my favorite crafting materials. I think you’ll agree that they’re cute as can be.
I hope you enjoy these three vintage-y projects and that you will glean some Valentine’s inspiration from them 🙂

Beautiful projects! I want to look at the glitter heart one but I don’t see a link to get to it. Am I missing it?

Glad Linda was able to help you out until I could fix the link 🙂
Sending up prayers for you today Diana…
So sweet of you Florence–thanks so much. Things have settled down a bit, bless the Lord 🙂
Keeping you in my prayers, Diana…xoxo
SO kind of you Linda; as you know, things are better 🙂
Thinking of you during your trying times. Winter is a tough season, with cold, darkness and the flu. Let’s hope that as the days slowly get longer and warmer your situation improves. Take time to take care of yourself.
Yes, the situation has improved, and I thank you kindly for your good wishes, Susan 🙂
Sending you bright light and prayers.
Thank you, Cheryl–so sweet of you; things are improving 🙂
Thinking of you and sending up prayers for better days ahead.
Thank you, friend–they are so appreciated and things are looking up 🙂
Lovely crafts. The pink heart is so pretty. Sending hugs and keeping you in my prayers!
Glad you like the crafts, Linda, and thank you again for your kind prayers–they mean so much!
Hi, Diana. I may have missed a posting about what’s happening in your family life, but no matter. I gather it’s pretty stressful and upsetting and that’s not fun. I am hoping the situation is improved or resolved asap. Keep focussing on whatever positive aspects of your life you can and I will be holding you and your family in my tho’ts and prayers and sending healing energy.
I love the Valentine projects you posted today. Now if I could just get in gear to make some!
Take care & Hugs,
Naomi
I think you may just have missed my original request for prayer for a difficult situation we are walking through. Since writing this post, as you know, things have improved and so I thank you, friend, for your kind tho’ts and prayers. They mean the world! Glad you enjoyed the projects 🙂
Keeping you in my prayers, too. Loved looking at your own projects; they were new to me! Turned 90% off (HL) red and glitter tulle package tie ons into pontail elastics this a.m. Wound the “twistie” around the hair elastic, added a smooth lump of hot glue and called it done! Grands’ll love ’em!
Oh I’m sure they loved them, Kathy–what’s not to love about glitter and tulle!! Glad you enjoyed my projects 🙂
PS: Thanks for your prayers, friend!
Will keep you and yours in prayer, reading & catching up with blogs after a very busy time with medical issues. Enjoy every one of your blogs, thank you kindly for great advice and your knowledge shared!
Thank you Marcy, that means so much! Things are definitely improving 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoy my blog; that really blesses me 🙂 Sorry to hear about your medical issues and hope they are resolved–
I will put you and your family on my prayer list, Diana. I am so sorry for whatever it is that is causing you such heartache. I can only say that God will use it for good — He always has a good purpose for us even in the hardest of trials.
These projects are simply delightful! I would love to make a banner and some of the gorgeous, glittery ornaments. If only I had the time … I need to spend much of today working on other things like scanning vintage cards to list on Etsy once I get my shop up and running. I need so much wisdom as I dispose of many things from an older house — part of estate responsibilities.
I agree 100%, Mrs. T. ; I am trusting that the Lord will use it all for good. Thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers; we are so blessed that things are improving.
So glad you enjoyed my little projects. Sounds like you are very busy. Let me know if I can help with anything. Have you joined my FB group, Your Vintage Headquarters, yet? It has over 300 members who love vintage and post pics of their finds and projects regularly. If you need help identifying or valuing something, you could post a pic and others will help out 🙂
So sorry to hear that a trial has come into your life. Heartache in this life is expected, but believers have such a bright future to look forward to. I am so glad we have hope, life would be so difficult without it. Know that many of us out here in internet land are praying for you, care about you and wish you only the best. Your blog is a shining light in a dark world and sometimes the light dims a bit with trials, but God is there nonetheless to make something beautiful out of a challenging situation. He is the One who redeems, truly. God’s blessings and lots of prayers for you and your family.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind encouragement, Dana. It is definitely the “bright future to look forward to” that helps put everything into perspective and keeps us trusting in the “One who redeems.” Your prayers mean the world; and we are happy to report that things are looking more positive 🙂
Dianna, another fabulous posting and more fun projects! I look forward to your emails so much! I want you to know that I am also praying for you and your family. It can be comforting just knowing others are praying.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.
Phillipians 4 has some of my favorite verses in it. Read as Holy Spirit leads.
I pray that Holy Spirit surrounds you with peace!
Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Jeri
That blesses me so much to know that you enjoy my blog, Jeri! And yes, it has been SO comforting to know that blogging friends have generously prayed for us. Your scriptures are like water for my soul and have buoyed me through our storm, which has thankfully subsided in large part. Thank you!!
Diana, sending prayers your way. Thank you for sharing your pretty valentine projects at Vintage Charm!
Thank you so much Cecilia for your prayers and for the party 🙂
