What Sold from My Antiques Booth in June (2017)

Hi there! Hope you had a great weekend. I made a trip to my antique booth at the Gristmill Antique Center in Troy (NY) on Friday, and yes, I did make time for some vintage shopping. And then on Saturday, my sweet husband and I drove an hour south to Woodstock (the Woodstock) to check out a new-to-me flea market. We decided while we wouldn’t recommend making it a destination spot, it should be visited in conjunction with any trip to this quaint town. I’ll share my purchases from all locations with you soon, but today I’m sharing my June antique booth sales. Ready?

If you’ve been following along with my  antique booth sales reports, then you know that I have a goal of making 3 x $130 (my rent) or about $400.00/month. In addition, I like to keep the cost of my goods sold down, no more than 10% of my sales, or about $40.00. See my other sales reports here.

You may also recall that I’ve had some very crummy sales the past few months, very unusual for me, and a little disheartening. This month was better, but I still did not reach my target. My total sales for June amounted to $344.00 and my total cost of goods sold was $36.50 or 10.6% of my sales. On a happier note, July holds much more promise, and I’ve begun to sell a few things on eBay, so I’ll be writing about this new endeavor next month. Meanwhile, happy hunting!!

  1. The green watering can is so cool! My sister and brother-in-law have been collecting them for years, and I know they’d love it (but you’ve already sold it). Cool stuff!

  2. I love seeing what you sold and I don’t believe the prices you are able to get! I think Maine is still depressed economically or I am a confirmed tightwad. No, wait, I know I am a tightwad. Made my first trip to a Restore yesterday; didn’t find the board I was looking for but got a few treasures–.29 cent glasses for candle cups and pieces of corduroy for pillow backs. Woodworking things and ceramic tiles for dollhouse furniture. Hope business picks up; I know I’d rather find a treasure for a collection than come home with a tacky souveneir when on vacation!

  3. I love that you share your prices….it helps me immensely! My booth here in mid Michigan has been slow this summer too…..I have always made my rent with some to spare but am looking forward to sales picking up….June was tough….July was better. I also sell on eBay and Etsy….I love what I do but it gets in the way of a busy summer….trying to stay on top of it all. Enjoy your blog….keep it coming!!

  4. I love these posts, since I also have a small booth at antique mall, but in Texas! I will say my June sales were down, but the July sales went up. I was surprised because it’s so hot in Texas I thought it would be the opposite. The best news is that I got to move to a much larger and better positioned spot the last week of July and it already made a huge difference in sales – I can put more in the booth, and people can clearly see what I have since I can spread it out a bit. I am looking forward to the next few months but am also a little nervous since the rent a little more than doubled. However, I think the fall is a good buying season. I loved your green watering pitcher, no surprise it sold. And isn’t it interesting that some things sell immediately when you bring them in and other things take a while. I still find that ironstone and chippy anything are my best sellers.
