This Week’s Vintage Finds #79
I have a few Mickey Mouse items that I’m “collecting” in order to offer them for sale on Etsy as a group, (cost: 50 cents, value: $10-15.00).
I plan to use this 100% wool lap blanket at Christmas, either to decorate my home or my antique booth (cost: $1, value: $12-15.00).
The handle on this handbroom is made of Sterling silver, so I scooped it right up (cost: $1.00, value: $15.00). Coro, a well-known, costume jewelry company, manufactured  the aqua-colored enamel bracelet. The “Coro” mark, dating the piece to about 1940, can be found on the back of the clasp (cost: 50 cents, value: $8-10.00). The silver tone pin has a green stone (cost: 50 cents, value: $6-8.00). I love the wide, gold tone bracelet, and may be keeping it (cost: 50 cents, value: $10-15.00). Check out this good info on Coro jewely.
Here’s the cover of the box that holds them. On the opposite side of the letter/picture is a list of words for the kids to read, and to identify the word that doesn’t belong.
A cream-colored, pottery teapot, marked “USA” on the bottom (cost: $1.00, value: $15.00).
A lovely pile of vintage clothespins (cost: $1.00 for about 50, value: $3.00 for five, or $30.00 for all 50). I rub some Howard’s Feed-N-Wax on them and then tie them up with a piece of calico and sell them in sets of five.
I’m always intrigued by items I’ve never seen before. This fork-like utensil caught my eye, and for 25 cents, I was able to bring it home with me to present to my online friends. Any ideas?
I selected each of these kitchen utensils from a bin marked “50 cents/item.” The potato masher at the top has wonderful twisted wire sides and a nice wooden handle (value: $8.00). The egg separator (far left), the grater (center), and the Made in Germany scissors are worth about $6.00 each. The cheese grater (bottom) and pastry cutter (bottom right) are worth about $8.00 each.
I always pick up cameras when I see them (if priced right) because my sweet daughter loves them (cost: $1.00 each, value: $5.00 each). They make great stocking stuffers for her.
Bye for now,

Lovely finds and I appreciate the way you appraised them.
Oh my goodness, those deals are unbelievable!! Who was selling sterling for $1? You did amazing!
What great buys – especially that shelf. 🙂
Great deals, Diana. I like your shelf unit, among various other items. I think your specialty fork may be for fish, but I've also seen asparagus forks similarly made (they generally are shovel-like, with a flat edge for scooping, but can also have the tines for piercing).
Such great finds! Love the Pyrex "Copper Filigree" sugar bowl! =)
Diana you really found some great things! Love just about everything with my favs being the cameras, jewelry and flash cards!! The shelf is also very sweet! Great display piece.

I love that woolen lap robe. The clothespins are cool with those wire thingys around them, too. I actually use clothes pins on a regular basis; one of the many pleasures of living out here on the farm is hanging out the wet clothes — a kind of quiet meditation, especially when I take them down after they've spent the afternoon in the sun and wind.
great vintage finds Diana! Love the umbrella !
wish you lived here in Oregon cuz we could hunt together!
Oh I agree with everyone else you found some great things. The shelf for your booth is my absolute favorite!
Great finds this week Diana. The umbrella is so pretty, and I love the vintage clothes pins and that sweet broom, but my favourites are the kitchen utensils. I simply can't resist them whenever I see them. Not sure why, but they are a must buy for me… especially because they're usually very cheaply priced at the thrift stores around here.
Those are some serious great finds! Love the vintage kitchen tools (pastry cutter), and the cameras, I love all things Disney and did not know there was anything else besides Musketeer! Oh, and that sweet little teapot! Have a lovely week!
Great finds!
Great finds indeed! Love the umbrella… the juggling pins may actually be part of a workout set which is why the dumbbells are made of the same wood? My hubby has come across the pins before and this is what we came up with. But, we could be wrong. They have great lines to them and look really neat either way! Is the fork thing made for making lemon or orange zest/peels? Just a guess. My MIL used to have antique gadgets hanging on her kitchen walls. There were tons of them. Some we had no idea what they were for. . . except for her of course. When she decided to re-do the walls the gadgets became a bridal shower game to see who could guess what they were. It was fun!
Another haul of great finds. The umbrella is gorgeous and looks like something my grandma would have had.
That umbrella is a keeper as is the shelf! I recently saw a hand broom with a similar handle and it was so expensive I didn't look to see why! I did pick up a whole garden basket full of the clothespins and hoping for my own clothesline in the yard soon. Curious as to what your daughter uses the cameras for….do they work?
Your umbrella is lovely and what a great photo! My son loves vintage cameras and I found him an 8mm at an estate sale awhile back 😉
I love that wool blanket! And what a deal!! I have been on the hunt for one at the thrift stores, and no luck yet. Love the cameras too and the bookshelf!

I have a very similar wool blanket from my parents. People in our area called them 'car blankets' and carried them in their cars.
Great finds. Love the umbrella for its color pattern and handle. You'll have to let us know when you find out what that serving fork is called. An odd one for sure. Your family get away sounds lovely.
I love seeing what you find and you are so knowledgeable as to their value. I love the broom and the blanket! I passed up a Disney hat at the thrift shop today. Course I am just buying for myself. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
What great finds – I actually remember most of those kitchen utensils in our kitchen drawers when I was growing up. Thank you so much for sharing your great finds with Share It One More Time. Cathy
