Shaker Heritage Society Craft Show
Hi everyone! Many of you know that I am currently set up at the nearby Shaker Heritage Society craft fair, going on through December 21st. Today I want to show you two Shaker-inspired pieces I just added to my space, and a look at some of the hand-made goods at the show.
My New Shaker Crafts
I made this sign using a piece of old scrap wood I had lying around ( a curbside rescue). The stencil is a new one, from homestead*stencil*co on eBay, and I added some vintage knobs I had on hand. The saying itself, widely believed to have originated with the Shakers, is one of my favorites. I priced the sign at $38.00.
I used the same saying for this mixed media piece (8″ x 10″, available for $25.00). The “heart in hand” motif is also believed to have Shaker origins.

Oh you know if I were local I would definitely be there shopping!. The dried flower wreath is lovely and I would have scooped one up too. sb
It looks like such a great sale…hope it was wonderful!
I always enjoy craft fairs and recently bought goat soap at one here in Oregon City. I think next year I may try selling some of my photo cards and pictures at one . Craft fairs are so inspirational.
Looks like a fun place to be. Love your sign with the white knobs and the mixed media piece hand sign too. You are so good at making those.
Blessings,
Audrey Z.
What a wonderful place. Love the wreath you got for $10. Wowsie so pretty.
Have a great week and wonderful Thanksgiving.
Kris
Fascinating collection, I can’t imaging being there with all those beautiful items. Thanks for sharing, Sandi
What a talented bunch of artisans! Love your new sign idea and thanks for taking us around to see everything. Is there a spring show?
I love your sign and mixed media picture! Wish I could go to the fair, so many nice things!
I love the symbol of the heart and hand! I also love ticking, so the mitten stole my heart. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
