Make Vintage Gift Tags Using Vintage Materials
I found a vintage, gold lame bag at Goodwill for $1.99. One side was kind of faux leather-y, the other was covered with gold sequins.
I love how the faux leather (guess that’s called pleather) turned out. What do you think?
This poor embroidered dresser scarf had seen better days. Filled with rips and stains, it was perfect for tag making. I’m very pleased with how they came out.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with using some old books for tags. These sweet Pooh tags would look great on a baby shower gift, wouldn’t they?
I use music paper to make thank you tags that I include with all my out-going Etsy packages.
I used my handy can of chalk board paint to spray plain cardboard tags. I give them each two coats, then they are ready to use. Chalk board needs to be “primed” by covering the surface with chalk, then wiping it off with a damp cloth.
I’ve used these tags several times and they are sturdy enough to withstand regular wiping and reuse. I have to say, they make me very happy 🙂

Diana – I absolutely ADORE your tags! I see here you said you use the Big Shot die cut machine. What die cut do you use? I think I need to make me some of these!
These tags are absolutely wonderful! I especially like the embroidered and the Pooh tags — so creative, so special!
Lovely — using seen-better-days linens is a great idea!
I love to make tags and these are some great ideas – I may have to borrow the vintage linen one.
