Crafts to Find at the Shaker Christmas Show (Day #1)

Hi there! Welcome to the 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS kick-off event here at Adirondack Girl @ Heart. You’ve hit it just right–today is Day #1, and I’ll be posting about the annual Shaker Christmas Craft Show that I participate in every year.

It’s one of the largest and best shows in the area. This year it runs for 8 weeks rather than the normal 6, in contrast to most other shows which typically run for just a weekend. I drop by the show on Mondays to see what’s sold in the previous week, work on projects throughout the rest of the week, and then restock the booth on Thursday or Friday.

You may be interested in previous Shaker shows: 2017, 2016, 2015.

  1. Hmmmm , lovely things for the season. I thought I could smell the balsam sachets. When I had my potter/craft booths, I would always make up a bunch of balsam potpourri with pinecones, pods and juniper berries…it smelled so wonderful for the holidays. Good luck with your booth.

    1. I used three balsam wreaths on my Thanksgiving table and they are still filling the house with their scent!! Love it. Thanks for the good wishes, Sandi 🙂

  2. Gosh, I wish we had that kind of market here. sounds absolutely wonderful! We did have our night and day Old Fashion Christmas here today so I got there early before the crowds. I was especially interested in getting a Santa made from old spindles. This gal molds a tiny face and really cool beard and the spindle shape is the body of Santa. Her stuff goes FAST! she sold 90% of the Santas last night, but I still got one that spoke to me. I wish there were more original handmade items at this event, like what you have.

    1. Those Santas sound amazing Patty, I’m so glad you got there in time to find one that you really like 🙂 Hope the rest of your holiday season is blessed, friend!!
