My Shaker Craft Fair Booth

Hi everyone! Many of you have asked to see my booth at the Shaker craft fair and so today I’m obliging.

My craft booth at the Shaker craft fairBecause they gave me a bigger space this year (still relatively small at 6’x 2.5′), I was able to display much more merchandise than I had in the past,ย and it enabled me to build my display upwards. I used a small shelf on the left and a combination of old drawers and a trunk insert for the rest. This is what the booth looked like five weeks ago. Much of what you see here has already sold and been replaced with new products.

If I had a theme this year, it was mini wreaths–I used them everywhere! The level hanging rack sold ($15.00), as didย all seven of myย vintage pie pans ($6.00 each), the shoe lasts ($28.00), over a dozen Bingo cards ($3.50 each), the cross stitch ($32.00), and the wreath (upper right, $9.00).

Both of my framed vintage scissors also sold ($12.00).

Along with aย jar of vintage buttons ($18.00) and fourย rusty stars ($5.00 each).

My punched tin lantern diorama, priced at $32.00, but recently reduced to $25.00, has not yet sold.

But as I mentioned a few posts ago, this little diorama did sell ($25.00).

Along with two funnel trees ($9.00 each), which I may have under-priced a bit.

I made a number of these waterless snow globes using vintage jars ($6.00 each), and they all sold.

Bottle brush trees in glass jarsThese are my latest version, using jars I picked up a while ago for 50ยข each; they’re priced at $6.00 each.

The large German Blue Onion canister sold ($28.00), as did the scale ($35.00), but the rolling pin has not.

My cheers bunting ($18.00) has not sold yet either. I raised the price this year from $15.00. I will lower the price next time.

About a dozen of these cuties have sold ($3.50 each).

An old vintage grater decorated with a mini wreathI decorated several graters with my mini wreaths and they each sold quickly ($9.00).

These graters also sold for $9.00 each.

And finally, one of my personal favorites, a decorated doorplate. These have been selling rapidly for $10.00 each. All in all, it looks like I’m going to make out well from this year’s Shaker craft fair–woo woo! For anyone who’s local, it’s open through this Saturday, December 17th at 4 pm. I highlighted other vendors in my Tour of the Craft Fair post, if you’d like to take a peek at what else is available.

  1. Okay, this was awesome, Diana. You are so very clever with your crafts. For me, it’s all about buying something that’s vintage, but when it’s upcycled in a way I haven’t seen before AND the price is right, I’m all in. No wonder you’ve done so well! People will start looking forward to your booth space, so you better start getting ready for next year right away!

  2. Everything is adorable, and I can see why you would sell all those smalls. Such a cute idea, and makes it easy for the shopper to browse, without too many distractions. Merry Christmas! Sandi

  3. Your booth looked great, Diana…so many fun goodies!
I am sure people had fun exploring (and buying) all of your wonderful pieces!

  4. My goodness, you are a talented upcycler! My favorite thing of yours are the little spools. Wish I could find some bargain priced.

  5. Oh my gosh Diana, I just loved this post…loved seeing your space! I think your prices are amazing…I would have a hard time not buying everything! ๐Ÿ™‚
The door plate was my favorite too!!
    Hugs, Kimberley

  6. Congratulations on your good sales. You have some well made and interesting hand-crafted items. You are very creative. No wonder they sold.
I see several things that I would buy.
    Have a very merry Christmas.
    Hugs,
    Audrey Z.

  7. I agree, your booth looked inviting, and your prices very affordable. Loved that decorated doorplate too…very clever & attractive! The mini wreaths also make a nice Christmas impact without being overpowering. Wish I was close enough to visit! Merry Christmas Diana!

  8. So fun to see this! Love the decorated graters and the door plate; nothing better than junk with a little pretty! And yes, think you could have gotten more from that funnel tree (love), but it’s all a live and learn game;)

  9. Great booth. I thought the clear glass vase with vintage white buttons in it was very elegant. On the other end of the spectrum, I also liked the metal funnel tree. I think it’s safe to say that I like a very eclectic look. :o)

  10. Diana, SO much in that one little booth! Now I wish I had a booth. Have been saving funnels for so long, now need to make that little tree! Okay… for me, your blog is a big inspiration…. do you mean it to be so ? Will you be upset if we make things similar to what you have shown us ? Or is it the highest form of praise for you ? The reason I ask is because I want to know more. ๐Ÿ™‚ Did you make each tiny green wreath or did you purchase them; if so, where did you buy them? Are the spools new or vintage ? I love everything you have shown us and wish I could be there to go through the booth!! you are SO inventive !! Do you get YOUR inspiration from other blogs as well ?

    1. Yes! It’s meant to be an inspiration; I even post photos of readers creations that I gave them instructions for on my blog. Please craft away and be sure to send me some photos! You can find out how I made the wreaths here: https://adirondackgirlatheart.com/2016/11/make-cutest-mini-wreaths-youve-ever-seen.html and if you search for “mini wreaths,” you’ll find some projects where I incorporated them. The spools for the bottle brush tree decorations are all vintage. Sometimes I use spools with no thread, in which case, I wrap them with pretty scrapbook paper. Calling me “inventive” is probably one of the highest compliments you could pay me, Patty ๐Ÿ™‚ I get inspiration everywhere–blogs, Pinterest, magazines, and often just from the piece of “junk” itself. (I guess you could say it speaks to me, lol!) My goal is to create NEW projects or takeoffs on old ones, but every now and then I see something I love and I have to copy it, at least once. Thanks so much for chatting!!
