What’s New at My Antique Booth
Hi everyone! It’s been several months since I gave you a look at my booth at Gristmill Antique Center, where I’ve been selling antiques and vintage since last spring. The week-end before last, I received a phone call from the owner, Bob, telling me that my spot had been decimated(!). Music to an antique dealer’s ears, right? Apparently several larger pieces had sold, including an Adirondack table, a child’s drop leaf kitchen table, a shelving unit, and the taupe dresser with white stenciling that I recently shared with you. So I cleaned up a few pieces, filled my van, and proceeded to the shop to restock. (Yes, I forgot to take photos of the barren mess I found when I arrived–sorry.)
If my booth were shaped like an upside-down “U,” which is is, then this is the left side of the letter. If you’re a regular reader, then you will recognize many of the items.
The small shelf/doorless cupboard sitting on the enamel-top table is new-to-the-booth (cost: $5.00, list price: $42.00). I bought it early this spring at an estate sale.
This black cupboard is behind the enamel table, and looking at the photo, it looks very clutter-y. I’m going to have to pull out some the junk precious antiques next time I visit. (The cupboard belongs to the shop.)
Looking head on into my space, this is the current view. The large cupboard sitting on the floor is new-to-the-booth. I bought it last summer at an estate sale with my sweet daughter (cost: $30.00, list price: $125.00). I also brought up the bird cage and stand on the right, which I later learned sold about 30 minutes after I left the shop(!). Can you believe I bought the two pieces at separate sales? (cost: $3 (cage) $5 (stand), list price: $55.00)
I’m really quite taken with this cupboard; I wish I had a spot for it in my home. Hopefully it will find its way into someone else’s home soon.
This view is of the right-hand side of the “U.” I brought up this cute, red suitcase the day I moved in, and I can’t believe it hasn’t sold yet. I’ve priced it at just $45.00, but I guess that’s too high. I’ll have to lower the price next time I’m up there. The ladder on the left is a relatively new addition–so handy for displaying linens, blankets, and quilts. A couple of years ago, I bought two ladders and only just got around to having them cut in half (cost: $1.00, list price: $35.00).
That’s it for me! I hope your week has gotten off to a great start.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Loving your booth, Diana!! 🙂
Thanks Melissa! It’s just a tiny hole in the wall compared with your amazing, gigantic space!
LOL, yes that is music…..I used to hate coming in on Monday’s with everything sitting on the floor—and all the furniture pieces missing…I was lucky to have acquired a stash of metal Baker’s racks for emergencies that i got to keep in a closet. Great job of recovery…and such neat stuff you have. I’m sure you will have to flip it again next week, Sandi
I agree, Sandi, it’s not a lot of fun to come in and see your space all messed up, except when it’s because you sold a lot, of course!
Lookin’ good, Diana! Yes, that’s definitely music to a dealer’s ears, unless you have to travel far or don’t have stock (hahaha, who am I kidding??) How often do you go to your booth Diana? I love that cabinet you just brought in, and I bet it goes quick. Same for us on luggage – have 3 pieces that haven’t sold – all unusual (and flat surfaced, good for repurposing). Eventually they will – just move it to a different spot.
I now have enough stock to keep me going for a couple of years!! I go up every two weeks and always switch out at least two parts of the booth. That dang suitcase has been everywhere in my little booth–high, low, flat, upright. I think it’s perfect for decorating, but I might be wrong. Nah. Not possible…
I love your space, Diana! I see lots of fun pieces…wish I lived close enough to stop by!
Thanks Linda! I wish all of us crafty, vintage bloggers lived in the same vicinity. Oh the fun we could have together!
Nice booth. I hope all sells quickly!
Your booth looks great! Love the pictures!
Love seeing your booth. Very nice treasures. Wish you were in Minnesota. Smiles
Looks awesome! I sure wish someone would tell me my booth had been cleaned out! lol!
Tania
You have a great booth. Sometimes it is so hard to figure out what will sell and what won’t. I’ve got to get to my booth this week to fluff and restock.
It must be going around! I had a killer month at my spaces. I hope that bodes well for the holidays for everyone!
Your booth looks so inviting and full of so many fabulous vintage goodies. I predict you’ll be filling it up again real soon. Thanks for sharing at Vintage Inspiration Party.
Love how you move stuff around and display it differently to make it look fresh; I know I have been struck by seeing an “old” item in a ” new” spot. I noticed the BHG cookbook in an earlier picture. Another thing I need to do more….see how much I am learning from you!
