Vintage Blog of the Week: Little Vintage Cottage

Hi everyone! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve featured a Vintage Blog of the Week. I’ve spent the past few days getting to know Tania at Little Vintage Cottage, and I think you’ll agree, she is very vintage. She loves to buy, sell, and decorate with all kinds of vintage items. She has strong crafting and DIY skills to boot, usually involving something vintage. Ready to learn more about Little Vintage Cottage?

Thrifty Finds

Tania scours thrift stores, garage sales, and antique shows to hunt down her vintage treasures. She has a gift for finding fun, unique items.

On Treasure Trove Tuesdays, Tania regularly shares the great finds she scored over the week-end–like those you see here. Love that yellow step-stool, bead-board shelf, and vintage print. Fabulous.

What little girl wouldn’t fall in love with this vintage tin doll house? Tania purchased it for just $14.00.

DIY

Tania has undertaken some pretty amazing DIY projects, as she’s moved from room to room, renovating and redecorating.

One of my favorites, this spectacular reclaimed fence wall, she installed in her master bedroom–all by herslef. It makes such an amazing statement, don’t you think?

And even her simpler projects, like this side table makeover, have her creative stamp. I love the decorative paper she chose to decoupage onto the front and sides of the table.

Crafts

Tania is a bit of a Jack-of-all-trades, able to wield a power tool as easily as a paint brush or a needle and thread.

I’m seriously pining for this amazing painted mailbox. Didn’t Tania do a terrific job with its make-over?

Why buy expensive, decorator pillows, when you can make gorgeous pillows at a fraction of the cost, and with fabrics you love?!

Decorating

Tania shows us her serious decorating chops in this post, highlighting her master bedroom decor. The aqua and lime are so enlivening and the gallery wall both inspired and functional.

She pays great attention to detail, as you can see in this laundry room vignette with all sorts of launry-related supplies–vintage clothespins, a washboard, and clothes brush.

Selling

Tania actually has three Etsy shops, one devoted entirely to vintage. In March of this year, she enlarged her retail business by moving into a space at the Uptown Antique Mall.

I love how she used the red ladder to create shelving and turned a bicycle wheel into a fabulous “wreath.” Go Tania!
