Vintage Blog of the Week: Dagmar’s Home
Hi everyone! Welcome to today’s featured blog: Dagmar’s Home, where Dagmar Bleasdale writes about all sorts of topics related to home and family. She loves raising her son, living green, buying and selling vintage, and blogging about it all (since 2009).
Born and raised in Germany, Dagmar spent a lot of time in her parent’s antique shop, and their home was filled with antiques, which explains her own affinity for antiques. When you grow up in that sort of environment, it’s just natural that you’d fall in love with “old things” yourself.
She Buys

She’s a thrift store shopper (church sale, barn sale, any kinda sale shopper!), and often comes home with fun finds like these. I’m loving the silver teapot and red cross stitch in the background.
She Decorates
She Crafts
I think this soap dispenser with Legos is the cleverest idea. What little boy (or girl) doesn’t want to wash their hands when Legos are involved?!! Dagmar gives detailed instructions on how to rig up your canning jar to turn it into a dispenser.
She Writes eBay Guides
Dagmar writes quite prolifically for eBay, with a total of 20 guides under her belt to date, including this list of ideas for Decorating With Mason Jars.
In this guide, about Country Cottage Decor, she gives some hints about how to give your home that cozy cottage feel. You may want to check out all 20 of her guides.
She Sells
Dagmar has had experience selling in a “bricks and mortar” shop, but for right now is focused on selling via Etsy. This lovely Grindley creamer is available for just $13.95.
Along with one of my favorite books by one of my favorite artists, Eric Sloane, $11.95
She Parties
Dagmar holds a vintage inspired link party every Tuesday morning. I think you’ll enjoy partying with her and some of her friends.
