|One of my work surfaces when I walked in today.|
I may as well come clean right away–I am not a highly organized crafter. I’m continually buying new stuff, for which I don’t have room, and so things pile up until I take some time–an hour or a day–to bring order to the chaos. Today, I took about 20 minutes just to clear a space to work on a couple of things that have been on my mind.
So, what I want to show you today is a tag I made that has a Parisian flare. I was inspired after I searched “French Graphics” on Pinterest last night and saw loads of wonderful art work. This is how it turned out:
First, I used my Sizzix to punch out a manila card stock tag. You can make your own tag buy cutting out a rectangle, clipping two corners and then punching a hole in between the two cut-off corners. Then I used a small lavender ink pad to ink the large stamp with the Irish prayer on it. (I used this one because I don’t have one with French on it, but I’m in the market!)
Since the stamp is larger than the tag, I inked approximately what I need to and then left the stamp facing up. Then I laid the tag down gently where I’d inked and pressed the entire surface of the tag to get a good stamp.
After letting this dry for a couple of minutes, I then inked the Eiffel Tower stamp and applied that to the left side of the tag. One impression didn’t come out that vibrant, but I’m not too worried about that.
Then I found these cute little cardboard tags that I thought might work with what I had going. Next thing, I was pawing through my fabric flower bits…
And here you have the final product:
Bye for now,
