Hi everyone! I’m so happy fall has finally arrived. I am one of many who would select autumn as their favorite season. Not surprising at all. It seems perfectly obvious to me why that is so. Considering all of the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the textures–you could almost go into sensory overload.
The spectacular colors set it apart, as far as I’m concerned, from every other season. Seeing those glowing reds and yellows and feeling the crisp air, as I walk out the door, make it impossible for me not to smile and start the day feeling fresh and invigorated.
And yes, I love the crunch of leaves on the ground and their smell as they crumble back to dirt. Who doesn’t?!! And the smell of leaves burning, or wood burning in an open fire pit on a cold night–awesome. Which makes me think of hot chocolate and s’mores, the very best of fall foods.
So many crafting possibilities present themselves in autumn–stunning dried leaves, darling acorns, scented pine cones, seed pods, and more. All ripe for the scavenging while out hiking or biking. (I stop for everything.)
So, from my house to yours, I wish you all a happy fall.
