Hi everyone! I hope you had a lovely week-end. I hit some sales on Friday and attended a flea market/antique show with Constant Companion Nancy on Saturday. A barbecue with my sister and her family after church on Sunday finished of my week-end nicely. Today I have a simple craft to share–not a new idea but a fun one that can be varied in a number of different ways. It’s an attractive method of displaying your vintage buttons or other small sewing notions.
I recently bought a bag of buttons at a garage sale and in the bag were several cards of buttons like this one with sweet, little shell buttons.
At another sale I picked up this small frame for a quarter. It was unpainted, so I gave it one coat of black craft paint. I like the matte finish. I took out the print and replaced it with my card of buttons glued onto some vintage dictionary paper.
I glued some brown craft paper onto the back to give it a more professional look, and then attached a hanger at the top with some glue. (There’s no glass in the frame, so it is very light.)
